"I've lived here at Samaritas for six years. I think of Samaritas as my home, and I love it. I've made many friends here and enjoy the several activities that are offered. The amazing staff and residents make the atmosphere enjoyable and inviting. I love my apartment and have decorated it so that its very comfortable. I have bird feeders outside my apartment, and I enjoy the views from my bay window. One of the perks I love most about my apartment is that it has a second bedroom that I utilize as my art studio! I am looking forward to spending more happy years here!"

"My mother has lived at Autumn House for eight years, first in independent living and more recently in assisted living. She made her own decision to move there, selecting Autumn House from several options. Our experience and observations over those years have shown that it was a wise move. What stands out at Autumn House is the quality of the staff and the professionalism at all levels. They are kind and compassionate people, showing genuine concern for the residents. The staff treat everyone with respect for individual differences and needs. As an example, my mother recently celebrated her 100th birthday, and the staff at Autumn House helped plan a special celebration for family and friends. The office staff helped with decorations, the kitchen prepared some special food and a delicious birthday cake, and the caregivers sang and danced in a Tik Tok video. It was a fun party for everyone, and indicative of the excellence of Autumn House. They truly "care" for the residents as individuals. When we ask my mother if she is happy and content, she smiles and whole-heartedly says "yes". She wants to live the rest of her life at Autumn House, and we want her to live there as well. Our family strongly recommends Autumn House for seniors and their families who are looking for best in class independent or assisted living. We feel it is a home, not a facility."

"I can't say enough great things about Samaritas in Bloomfield Hills. My mother is a resident and has been there for over 5 years. First of all, Samaritas' preemptive reaction to the Covid19 pandemic has been STELLAR! They saw the potential threat of the fast-spreading Covid disease early on and started precautionary lock-down procedures, long before the state of Michigan reacted. This is why they haven't seen an impact like other homes in the area and around the country. I truly believe Samaritas has helped protect and save the lives of all it's residents, including my 95 year old mother. God bless them. Other observations and my mom's feedback: Samaritas is great! My mom enjoys the convenience of the location (across the street from a Trader Joes), as well as the friendly and helpful staff. They have exercise rooms & classes, movie & TV rooms, and special outings for the residents to experience cultural & community events and concerts - the Activities Calendar always has several things planned every day! They also offer rides to local churches for Sunday services and Dr's appointments and such. They even have a handy man-type person on staff to help residents out when needed. The staff has never let me or my mom down. I highly recommend you take a look at Samaritas in Bloomfield Hills if looking for Independent or Assisted Living options in the Birmingham, Beverly Hills, Franklin, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township or West Bloomfield Township."

"We moved my mom into Byron Manor and could immediately tell that the staff was compassionate and caring. One time a staff member was so empathetic that she cried in the hallway with me. One of the staff members told me that she does her job with all her heart, and you can tell! She was always so kind and caring. If I ever had a concern or question, the staff would do their best to help. They would often comment, "Well, you are family, so we will try our best to make it happen." Sara, the director of assisted living, is so good at her job! She cares for each resident and is intentional about getting to know each one. She leads with excellence and the staff respects her. My mom thought so highly of Sara. She always welcomed me into her office and made time to talk to me. The activities director and her assistant were also both top notch. They always stopped in my mom's room with a smile. They were interested in what she had to say. They invited her to participate in the activities and she felt so welcomed. My mom went into hospice care at Byron Manor and we felt so supported and cared for. Sara and staff members would stop in after their shifts were over to check on us. I am thankful for each person there."

"My mother spent time in both independent living and memory care at Byron Manor. I can't say enough good about this facility. The love and care to not only my mom but myself was astounding! Mom always had someone checking in on her in the memory care. They hugged her and loved on her. They cleaned up after her and laughed with her. Not one staff that I met was unpleasant or unloving. Brian was always available for me for questions and went to see my mom on more the several occasions. He brought her cooked carrots when she was having a tough day because he knew she loved them! I felt she was always safe and I was free to be absent when needed. She has since passed and the tears hugs and love that is being shown to me only solidified that this was where she was meant to be. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a family oriented place filled with love for their loved ones! Thank you so much to all the staff at Byron Manor!"

"My mother has lived at the Gables for the past 9 months and I cannot say enough good things about her experience. We visited many Assisted Living facilities and put much thought into finding my mom her new place to call home. The Gables has not disappointed. The facility is modern, clean, bright, and very well layed out. She had a very smooth transition and has already made many friends. The activities director, Heidi, brings energy and compassionate care to the Gables that is not anything that we found at other AL facilities in the area- she is amazing! The entire staff, from the Director to the maintenance crew are all friendly and professional. Thank you for giving my mom a warm and inviting new home!"

"GreenView Inn was truly a blessing for our family. My grandmother lived there for over 11 years, and she absolutely loved it. When my dad would ask her if she ever wished to go back home, she would reply, "I am home" The staff always treated her and my family with kindness, dignity, and genuine care. Over the years, she built friendships, participated in activities, especially building puzzles, and enjoyed a quality of life that brought our family great peace of mind. "My father just became a resident at the East location, memory care. When I came to visit he had started some new behaviors that I wasn't aware of. The aid that was at his lunch table took the time to explained that this was a symptoms of Alzheimer's my father was exhibiting. The aid was more than happy to answer any questions I had and made me feel more comfortable. Im looking forward to my next road trip to come visit. I'm interested in any tips from the staff at Autumn House East regarding visits . What could I bring to do with him or for him to make him as comfortable and happy as possible. Thank you!"

"The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and professional. The needs of the residents are addressed in a timely manner. Upper-level management is easy to reach and provides timely and effective solutions to issues and concerns. There are many extracurricular activities available to the residents that keep them engaged and interactive with others. The place is kept very clean and well organized. Residents' dietary needs are always taken into consideration. Maintenance fixes room related problems effectively and kindly."

"This place is a total gem compared to other nursing homes that my brother and I have experienced in the area. If you're looking for a great place for your loved one(s) to receive great care and be treated with respect and kindness, look no further. I highly recommend them and they were not even the most expensive that we had experience with, so I think the price is very reasonable for the level of care they give. Maureen was amazing to work with the entire experience and she is a superstar who made everything straight forward and easy. Everyone there we interacted with was friendly, kind, and helpful. It's a beautiful building, great location (SummaCare ER is just a block away or so), etc. Go take a tour and see for yourself :)"

"My relative has been at autumn house for 14 months in independent living. He has dementia, but is treated with the utmost respect as I am when working with them. I have found every staff member without exception to be kind, caring, and respectful of my relative. They engage with him in a personal manner and treat him with kindness and dignity. They have responded to any request that he has made, or I have made. I cannot believe that there could be any more appropriate place for my relative than AUTUMN HOUSE. He is happy there, feels safe and at home."

"This place is brand new and absolutely beautiful. All the houses are quite large with nicely kept and trimmed yards. Everybody seems extremely friendly. I noticed that pets are allowed. Everybody seems extremely quiet. There's a lot of political signs So near must not be a home owner of the association, or if there is, there is a clause in it for political science on 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the holiday maybe. If You could use a little help around the house and yard or with the medical related tasks and are over the age of 55, or looking for a nice three bedroom, two car garage with a cute little yard; I would definitely check out this assistant living facility for seniors 55 and older."

"I cannot speak highly enough about the compassionate care and consideration that my family has received from the staff at North Pount Woods. It is a wonderful residence for seniors. My mother entered into an independent living apartment about 8 years ago. Her reluctance to move ended almost immediately when she told me "this feels like home and where I belong." Her apartment was lovely , the staff is amazing, from administration down to every single employee. They are helpful, cheerful and kind; every one of them! My mom has met so many people and made wonderful friendships, where everybody looks out for and cares for each other. There are many social activities to participate in, if one chooses to do so, The kitchen staff is wonderful and create lovely, delicious meals in a really nice atmosphere. They listen to their clients and try their best to accommodate the many requests and suggestions. Just recently my mom took a bad fall and after a period of time in rehab at the Oaks, found herself in need of a move to Assisted Living. As hard as this transition was, physically and emotionally, the staff could not have been more helpful, compassionate and kind. The best part is, she is still near her many friends and is adjusting to her smaller quarters where she gets the best of care. It gives me and my family such relief to know that she is in a safe, happy,, comfortable, and beautiful place where all Of her needs are met. I am so very grateful to everyone at North Pointe Woods and would encourage anyone who is considering this type of environment to check it out. It are a first-class facility filled with love and concern for all of their residents and their families. I am so glad that my mother landed here!"
